BPW Public Speaking Winners

Coláiste Éinde took top honours at the National Final of the BPW Public Speaking competition held recently in Tullamore. The format of this long-running prestigious competition requires each team to present a short meeting with team members assigned roles as Chairperson, Guest Speaker and Proposer of Thanks. The Salthill girls, who were representing Connacht, won out against stiff competition with their speaker Lucille Destrade delivering an insightful speech on ‘How to Find Your Ambition’ explaining how  young students can focus on their future through achieving small goals and managing their stress. The judging panel was very impressed with the girls’ personality and teamwork and in addition to awarding Coláiste Éinde the national title, Megan Folan was declared best Chairperson. As National Winners the girls will deliver their presentation at the BPW European Conference in Galway in May 2019 where speakers will include former president Mrs Mary Robinson.
