Senior Public Speaking

*      BPW Public Speaking Competition

Each year, senior schoolgirls from Coláiste Éinde enter the Business and Professional Women’s Association Public Speaking Competition.  We have a long and proud history of achieving success at this competition, and this year was no different.  Students Colette Whyte (Best Chairperson at both local and national level), Pamela Chalecka, Rhia MacAdorey and Cara Brophy-Browne competed in the National Final of the BPW Competition held in the Ardilaun Hotel, Galway, in November 2012.

*   Title: MHA (Mental Health Association) Public Speaking Project 2013
Fourth year students Collette Whyte, Daniel Mulcahy and Ronan O’Gorman participated in this year’s MHA public speaking project at the Menlo Park Hotel in November. They spoke on the topic ‘Learn from yesterday, Live for today, Hope for tomorrow’. Each student spoke eloquently on their section of the topic, and it was obvious to all just how much research the students had engaged in to produce speeches of this high calibre. Unfortunately they were unsuccessful in their bid for victory this time. However, Collette, Daniel and Ronan each exhibited their own personal style and flair and were engaging and entertaining throughout – we have certainly not heard the last from them! They did an excellent job representing both themselves and Colaiste Einde. I would like to thank Collette, Daniel and Ronan for their enthusiasm and considerable efforts during their involvement in the project.
