Charity Marathon Run Preview

Coláiste Éinde’s Transition year students pictured with teacher and organiser Mr. Micheál ó Domhnaill, who have taken up the challenge of running/walking, in relay format, the full marathon distance of 26.2 miles to raise awareness and monies for the SIMON Community Galway and for the school development fund. The race, which will be run on the prom on Friday the 17th April, is open to the public and the distance can be covered entirely by a single runner or in relay format in teams of up to a maximum of six members. There is no entry fee but all entrants are asked to contribute if possible to this worthy cause. The start will be at the ‘kicking wall’ at Blackrock and will commence at approx. 10.30am. Money collection points and bucket collectors will be available to take all contributions on the day!!  Come on, give it a try, organise you team today, or simply come along and give us your support.
