Student Enterprise Award Winners

Coláiste Éinde achieved a remarkable first and second place in the Student Enterprise Awards held in the Ardilaun hotel on Thursday, with the prizes presented by the Mayor of Galway Cllr. Terry O’Flaherty.

Student Enterprise Awards

Five teams from 2nd year Business Studies entered the competition and all were praised by the judges for their innovation, professionalism, and knowledge.
Business projects included personalised headphones, party-in-a-box products, and cable storage devices.
First place went to D-Book Ireland Ltd, whose e-reader for dyslexic students was heavily praised by all 3 judges. Their prize included €250 and entry into the National competition in April.
D-book Ltd was settup by students Marvin Ifeagwu, Caylum Kelly, Mark Wynne, Lauryn Okeke, and team leader Ava Kavanagh.
Second place went to Shuffle Closet, a phone app that categorised your wardrobe and made outfit choice easier. Prize for second was €200.
Shuffle Closet’s owners were Megan Lee, Alexsandra Lewandowska, Ignas Nenorta and team leader Amy Healy.
