Success at BT Young Scientist

Maureen Walkingshaw, BT’s Director of Human resources, presents Jeffery Lyons, a Leaving Certificate student in Colaiste Éinde, the 2nd place prize in the Social and Behavioural Science category of the 2013 BT young scientist competition at the RDS in Dublin.

Jeffrey’s  project was an economic theory based on determining the ‘real value’ of goods to the economy. From this he suggested that the economy could be stimulated by targeting government investment at subsidising the production of certain types of goods. Jeff was able to impress the judges with a convincing and clear explanation of his project.
